15 березня 2025 року в Києві відбулась експертна зустріч, присвячена оновленню змісту математичної освіти. Це третя з десяти фахових дискусій для кожної освітньої галузі в межах політики «Освіта для життя» для посилення і реалізації реформи НУШ, організована Міністерством освіти і науки України разом з Малою академією наук України. Серед відібраних з усієї України учасників заходу була доцент кафедри математики, фізики та методик їх навчання Оксана Одінцова.
Модераторкою «Математичного освітнього кола» виступила Катерина Терлецька– доктор фізико-математичних наук, завідувачка лабораторії прикладної математики Національного центру Малої академії наук України, старший науковий співробітник Інституту проблем математичних машин і систем НАН України.
Зі вступним словом виступила Катерина Молодик — координаторка напряму «Зміст освіти» Офісу впровадження НУШ Міністерства освіти і науки України.
Далі візійні експерти під час панельної дискусії поділилися своїм баченням щодо шляхів досягнення мети шкільної математичної галузі. Зокрема думки були висловлені:
- Станіславом Довгим — президент Малої академії наук України;
- Юрієм Чопʼюком — заступником декана із викладацької діяльності факультету компʼютерних наук в Kyiv School of Economics;
- Дмитром Басовим — вчителем та співзасновником школи Базис;
- Олександром Тимохою — директором Інституту математик НАН України;
- Ніною Тарасенковою — доктором педагогічних наук, професором Черкаського національного Університету імені Богдана Хмельницького.
Фінальною частиною заходу була робота у групах, в які об’єдналися учасники. До речі, серед останніх були представники як академічної спільноти (зокрема, Інституту педагогіки НАН України, Київського національного університету імені Тараса Шевченка, Українського державного педагогічного університету імені М.П. Драгоманова, Київської школи економіки), вчителі провідних ЗЗСО, випускники яких показують гарні результати на математичних змаганнях та під час НМТ.
Групова робота була присвячена темі «Результати навчання: шлях до успіху», оскільки головна мета запущеного проєкту «Освіта для життя» – це зробити навчання більш практичним та зрозумілим, навчити учнів застосовувати знання на практиці, критично мислити та працювати в команді. Тому важливим на цьому шляху є створення «маркерів», які дозволять оцінити прогрес учнів у досягненні відповідних груп результатів. Брейнштормінг виявися вдалим для учасників груп, оскільки в напрацюваннях було враховано досвід, думки різних сторін, а сама група – це дружня компанія однодумців. Результати напрацювань були презентовані іншим учасникам, вони стануть основою для подальшого оновлення змісту математичної освіти.

On March 15, 2025, an expert meeting dedicated to updating the content of mathematics education was held in Kyiv. This was the third of ten professional discussions for each educational sector within the framework of the “Education for Life” policy, aimed at strengthening and implementing the New Ukrainian School (NUS) reform, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in collaboration with the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Among the participants selected from across Ukraine was Oksana Odintsova, Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Methods of Teaching.
The moderator of the “Mathematics Education Circle” was Kateryna Terletska—Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Head of the Laboratory of Applied Mathematics at the National Center of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Problems of Mathematical Machines and Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Kateryna Molodyk, coordinator of the “Curriculum” division at the NUS Implementation Office of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, delivered the opening remarks.
During the panel discussion, the invited experts shared their perspectives on how to achieve the goals of school mathematics education. In particular, the following opinions were expressed:
Stanislav Dovgyi — President of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
Yuriy Chop’yuk — Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Computer Science at the Kyiv School of Economics;
Dmytro Basov — teacher and co-founder of the Basis School;
Oleksandr Tymokha — Director of the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
Nina Tarasenko — Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor at Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy.
The event concluded with group work sessions in which the participants were divided into groups. Incidentally, the participants included representatives from the academic community (specifically, the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, M.P. Dragomanov National Pedagogical University, and the Kyiv School of Economics), as well as teachers from leading secondary schools whose graduates consistently perform well in math competitions and on the National Multidisciplinary Test (NMT).
The group work focused on the theme “Learning Outcomes: The Path to Success,” as the main goal of the launched “Education for Life” project is to make learning more practical and understandable, to teach students to apply knowledge in practice, think critically, and work in a team. Therefore, it is important to create “benchmarks” that will allow for assessing students’ progress in achieving specific learning outcomes. The brainstorming session proved successful for the group participants, as the work took into account the experience and opinions of various stakeholders, and the group itself was a friendly community of like-minded individuals. The results of the work were presented to other participants and will serve as the basis for further updates to the content of mathematics education.
